The Winter Classics Collection is a selection specifically designed to be worn in the colder months of the year.  In fact, they are the perfect armor for the Winter chilly days and blistering cold nights.  These are Vitale BarberisCanonico’s best selling winter fabrics and are characterized by a heavier weight and a matte finish.  This gives the suits a wonderful drape and an extremely elegant look.

Lovely lighter weight flannels in Super 120’s Australian Merino Wool are available in classics and fancies, with bright new deco colors.  The all time classic carded woolen flannel is represented as well.  Solids including a marvelous heavy whipcord bring the book to a close.

The Cambridge is a group of 100 hand picked swatch selections of 100 % Wool fabrics suited for the traveling man. The fabrics are lightweight, resilient and handle very well when traveling. The fabric selections include the popular glen plaids, solids and classic pinstripes. The Cambridge makes a great suit for the first custom suit experience or for the distinguished gentleman to sprinkled in to his existing wardrobe to preserve the life and legacy of what he has already established.

Bellagio Collection
The Bellagio is a group of 20 high twist serge cloths. The intention was to create a very compact yarn that is very wrinkle resistant but not too heavy or bulky. The 265-gram cloth is ideal for year round wear in the south and 8-month wear in the north. The Bellagio Collection is ideal for slacks, blazers and suitings. Give it a try…

At SCC some of the other services we provide are luxury custom shirts and suits as well as accessories including cuff links, ties, shoes and other related goods. We have a number of different services for our customers to choose from. We call it "The Stitched Experience."

1. By Appointments Only: Customers can schedule an appointment for one of our Wardrobe Consultants to meet with them in the privacy of their office or comfort of their home.

2. The Dress Well Trunk Show: Customers can view fabrics and review sample garments made by Stitched Custom Clothing as well as purchase custom clothing during our tours throughout the country.

3. Premium Services:
a. Personal shopping services enables our clients to establish a budget for a particular event and our staff will locate and procure items that meet the clients wardrobe request. Most of our clients prefer our custom process for these significant events.

b. Wardrobe Consultations. This service is provided to clients that prefer to work on a 3, 6 or 18 month schedule to “Rip and Replace” their existing wardrobe with Stitched Custom Clothing garments. The packages include the Wardrobe Essentials Packages and the Executive Packages.

c. The Dress Well Consultations are simply our “Hands-On” on-site services to provide assistance for a particular event. We will assist our clients with the essentials for getting dressed for the specific event.

22 Karat Gold Pinstipes...Golden Treasure

In line with its tradition of luxury and exclusivity, Scabal has developed Gold Treasure, a fabric made from 22 carat gold and fine count Super 150's, from a rare bale of 15.5 micron Australian Merino wool.

It represents not only the finest English craftsmanship, but is a genuine treasure trove, as its only decoration is 22 carat gold.

The production process took a long time to get a perfect result. The aim was to produce a cloth that represented not only a superb piece of craftsmanship but would also offer the reliability and performance qualities that are such an important factor in modern fabric and yarn technology.

This precious cloth comes in classic dark shades of black, charcoal and navy blue so that the brilliance of the gold threads is set off against the dark background shades and immediately becomes the focus of attention.

As a result of the complex production process and very fine yarn count, Gold Treasure will only be available in limited quantities to a very exclusive clientele.

Another Great Gift for The Distinguished Gentleman...

NEW “EXPRESSION”: THE LUXURY OF RARE FIBRES ~Scabal has introduced Expression, a Super 200’s blended with Vicuna and Chinchilla 240g, now one of the finest suiting cloths in the Scabal collection. Fine looking, beautifully soft to the touch and with a natural drape that keeps well during use, Expression appeals through its elegance and the luxurious softness of rare fibres.

Traditional weaving techniques Ultra fine 13-micron Super 200’s Merino wool forms the basis of this new cloth. Using advanced spinning technology, Scabal has blended it with Vicuna and Chinchilla fibres, highly valued for their rarity and exceptional softness. “Not only is Expression one of the finest cloths available, it has also been developed to assist the tailor during the various stages of garment making” says Michael Day, Chief Designer at Scabal. “It offers tailors the support and drape required in the creation of a luxury garment; attributes often forgotten in other fine cloths today.”

“These precious, delicate fibres have been blended by the best weavers in our own Yorkshire mill in the heart of England’s textile industry. Their work is still based on the traditional techniques used by our ancestors.”

To complete the traditional processes, Scabal has applied a “London Shrunk” finish to blend the fibres followed by an original “Paper Press”, a highly-skilled pressing method applied as the final treatment, giving the cloth a rich lustrous finish.

Rare fibres

Scabal selected Vicuna and Chinchilla as the finishing touches to Expression because of their exceptional rarity and softness. Revered by Inca royalty, Vicuna hair has always been sought for its delicate fleeciness - so much so, that the small and agile camel was almost hunted to extinction in its native Andes highlands. Now under protection, Vicuna numbers have made a dramatic recovery, especially in Peru.

Scabal’s imported Vicuna wool is supported by CITES (Convention on International Trade of Endangered Species) certification, guaranteeing that the wool is truly a licensed original product, a scarce attribute in today’s competitive market.

Chinchillas are small rodents which also live high up in the Andes region. They too have been hunted almost to extinction for their exceptionally fine and valuable hair.

Expression is available from June 2010 in 14 elegant soft-stripe and plain designs. In addition to classical dark shades of grey and blue, Scabal has widened worldwide appeal with lighter shades of blue and beige.

Diamonds...A Great Gift for the Distinguished Gentleman

Perhaps men are not so easily seduced by jewelery, but they will certainly appreciate this tailor-made gem of a suit. For all the men out there who insist upon a “Rolls Royce” suit, Scabal has designed a cloth which incorporates diamond fragments. This new fabric range, which has been christened “Diamond Chip”, comes in a variety of patterns and colours.

Anyone who mentions luxury suits, automatically thinks of Scabal. Constantly striving for innovation, Scabal created in 2001 the first cloth containing diamond fragments, entitled “Diamond Chip”. This involved a great deal of research and development. After all, it was not Scabal's intention to design a museum piece, but instead to design a cloth that could be turned easily into a stylish and elegant suit.

The diamond chips are processed into the cloth as soon as the wool has been cleaned and combed. Microscopically small diamond fragments are then spread on the wool, and it is only then that the wool is spun. The result is a shiny thread to be woven into exceptional fabrics. The latter not only shine literally and figuratively, but they also feel comfortable and hang beautifully. Scabal never sacrifices comfort for the sake of beauty.

The cloth consists of a Super 150's wool (80 %) – into which diamond fragments have been processed – and pure silk (20 %). Once again, the cloth is being woven at Scabal's own weaving-mill in Huddersfield (UK).

The subtle grey, brown, and blue tints, the woven stripy patterns and the semi-plain patterns do perfect justice to the sparkling diamonds. Ideal for men who like celebrating in sheer luxury.

No Place Like Home...

There is no better place to trend spot than NYC...

Regardless of the store, the overall feel was elegant sophistication with a lack of fussiness.

At Zegna, suits definitely dominated the landscape... clean and simple...no ticket pockets or pic stitching. Trim silhouettes with slightly wider lapels... the shoulder is a soft natural look with a pagoda style expression. The trousers were clean flat fronts with 3/8" loops with 1 3/4" cuffs.

Elegant textured shirtings were featured with wide spreads. Also prominent were tight stripes in bold colors..

Many Sport Coats were featured with open patch pockets with a heavy emphasis on layering.

The neckwear was decidedly subtle across the board allowing the suit or jacket to make the statement.

The trends in Outerwear were the most exciting. Double-breasted pea coats were everywhere paired with jeans as well as car coats. Dressier Top Coats are all shown worn above the knee. The coat above features an inverted pleat on an open patch pocket.
